PANCHKARMA
INTRODUCTION:
In recent days Panchakarma has become globally the second name of Ayurveda. It is that stream of Ayurveda that fulfils the objective of prevention and cure especially in the era of lifestyle disorders, panchakarma procedures such as basti, nasya, vamana, virechana and raktamokshana play a vital role in cleaning the body.
Panchakarma is a treatment program for the body, mind, and consciousness that cleanses and rejuvenates. It is based on Ayurvedic principles, every human is a unique phenomenon manifested through the five basic elements of Ether, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth.
The combination of these elements is three doshas (tridosha): Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, and their balance is unique to each individual. When this dosha balance is disturbed it creates disorder resulting in disease.
VISION:
- To standardize close observation and supervision of Panchkarma therapies for each person with their specific constitution and specific disorder in mind with pre-purification Measures of Snehan and Svedana, and then cleansing methods – Shodanas.
MISSION:
- To facilitate a detoxification program.
- To promote the standard treatment for a particular disease for each Prakriti.
- To standardize the ahara and vihar for lifestyle disorders.
- To promote the use of shodhana therapy according to ritu to maintain the health of a healthy person.
- To promote the use of Panchkarma and rasayana therapy for anti-ageing and rejuvenation.
